Maison GR product

Hiring, explained — built for Canada.

Signum connects Canadian candidates and employers through an explainable matching engine, a built-in ATS, and programmatic SEO designed for the local market.

Live — available to acquire

Signum is live, and available to acquire.

Signum Career and Signum Hire are built and deployed — candidate profiles, employer ATS, matching engine, billing, and SEO run in production today. Maison GR is offering the platform for acquisition, with an architecture that stays customizable for any country, niche, or hiring model.

The origin

We spent three months trying to hire a senior developer in Quebec.
LinkedIn, Indeed, Workday.
The matches were wrong. The signal was lost in the noise.
We built Signum to solve the problem we were living.

— Maison GR

The problem

I applied to 200 jobs. Still nothing.

The problem is not volume. It is the absence of signal.

I get 300 applications. How do I find the right one?

The problem is not a shortage of candidates. It is the noise.

Both sides

Two products, one platform.

Signum Career and Signum Hire cover both sides of the market. What helps the candidate improves the quality of the employer's pipeline.

Signum Career — for candidates

  • 0–100 compatibility score, explained, per job
  • Skill gap analysis per role
  • One-click apply — one profile reused per application
  • Career GPS: a personalized career progression path
  • Time-limited skill badges
  • Talent communities and direct messaging with employers

Signum Hire — for employers

  • Pipeline ranked by an explained score
  • 5-stage Kanban: New, Reviewing, Interview, Offer, Rejected
  • Talent search by skills and location
  • Structured interview scorecards and candidate comparison
  • Direct invitations to candidates you want to reach
  • Ghost Score — employer responsiveness visible before applying

Why Canada

Not adapted. Built here.

Existing platforms are versions of the US market. Signum is built for Canadian reality: native bilingualism, provinces, and a matching engine that explains every score.

Native bilingual

Interface, jobs, and content in French and English across the whole architecture — not auto-translated.

National coverage

13 provinces and territories, from Vancouver to Iqaluit — full Canadian geography, not an adapted US map.

Local geography

21 cities and 16 industries covered by dedicated SEO pages, built for the Canadian market.

Built differently

The Canadian market deserved better.

Existing platforms are US tools adapted after the fact. Signum is built for Canadian reality from the ground up — not ported, built.

LinkedIn Recruiter

High cost, black box

Candidate ranking is not explained. No built-in ATS. Designed for the US market and carried to Canada without local adaptation.

×

Indeed

Volume without signal

Hundreds of applications, no visible match score. Sorting favors volume, not relevance to the role.

Signum

Canada-native, explained score

Matching across 5 documented dimensions, built-in 5-stage ATS, native bilingual. Built for the market you're targeting.

Architecture

Matching, ATS, SEO, and billing move together.

Every component serves both sides of the market. The score ranks candidates, the pipeline organizes them, the SEO brings users back.

5 dim.

explained score

Skills, experience, education, location, and bonus — a 0-100 score, every weight documented.

5 stages

ATS pipeline

New → Reviewing → Interview → Offer → Rejected.

21 cities

SEO coverage

City, industry, and role × city pages — organic discovery for the Canadian market.

EN/FR

native bilingual

The whole product in both official languages of Canada.

The matching engine

A score you can explain — not a black box.

The score comes from a deterministic, documented engine — not an opaque model. Every dimension is visible, every weight owned. Candidates understand why. Employers know who to prioritize.

1

CV received

PDF or DOCX parsed — skills, experience, and education extracted.

2

5 dimensions scored

Each dimension evaluated separately, each with its own point ceiling.

3

Composite score

Normalized total out of 100. Every weight is documented and visible.

4

Ordered pipeline

Candidates arrive in the ATS from most relevant to least relevant.

ATS Pipeline

From received to decision.

The built-in pipeline replaces spreadsheets and external ATS tools. Five clear stages, every transition triggered by the employer.

01

New

Application received, score calculated, profile awaiting review.

02

Reviewing

Employer examines profile, skills, and match score.

03

Interview

Interview scheduled — a structured scorecard is available to the team.

04

Offer

Proposal sent — awaiting candidate response.

05

Rejected

Decision documented, application history preserved.

Programmatic SEO

A candidate for every local search.

We did not want a platform visible only to those who already knew us. We wanted to appear when a Montreal company searches 'hire senior React developer Quebec'.

21 cities

From Vancouver to Halifax — major Canadian employment zones covered.

16 industries

Technology, finance, healthcare, engineering, legal, education, and more.

Combined pages

Cities × industries × roles — each with structured JSON-LD and FR-CA/EN-CA hreflang.

The platform

Systems already built and connected — not a landing page.

Signum Hire for employers (ATS, search, billing, interviews, comparison, invitations, Ghost Score) and Signum Career for candidates (matching, CV tools, Career GPS, badges, AI tools) are connected by messaging, referrals, talent communities, and programmatic SEO.

Matching engine

Explainable 0-100 score across 5 documented dimensions for every candidate/job pair.

Employer ATS

5-stage Kanban. Post roles, review applicants, move through pipeline from one workspace.

Programmatic SEO

City, industry, and role pages auto-generated for the Canadian market.

CV parser

PDF/DOCX parsed — skills, seniority, and education extracted to feed the profile.

Candidate workspace

Profile, CV upload, matched job browsing, save, apply, and real-time application tracking.

Canadian data practices

Data handled with responsible practices, export and deletion on demand.

Stripe billing

Employer/candidate plans, Enterprise seats, active-job limits, billing portal, and webhooks.

Enterprise team workspace

Included HR seats, team roles, shared pipeline, and additional seats beyond the allowance.

Notifications & email

Application updates, employer activity, verification, and status changes.

Admin & operations

Role-based access, platform stats, dashboards, and operational API routes.

Ghost Score

An employer responsiveness benchmark — candidates rate reply speed and frequency.

AI career tools

CV builder and rewrite, interview prep, salary intelligence, and follow-up — AI-generated, per posting.

Career GPS

The candidate enters their current role; the engine maps it to a career taxonomy and returns a saved progression path.

Messaging

Direct candidate/employer chat, opened only where an application or invitation already exists.

Referrals

A unique referral code per user, confirmed when the referee verifies their email, earning both sides credit months.

Skill badges

Short per-skill assessments earn a time-limited badge shown on the profile.

Talent communities

Opt-in peer directories by industry with reciprocal visibility.

Interview scorecards

Weighted criteria, 1-5 ratings, and an overall recommendation, filled in by the team.

Candidate comparison

A saved snapshot comparing match score and interview rating across candidates.

Candidate invitations

Employers invite a specific candidate; accepting auto-creates an application.

Technical architecture

React 18 + Vite

Candidate and employer SPA — job search must be instant, not reloaded page by page.

Express 5

Node.js REST API with JWT auth, rate limiting, Helmet security, and Morgan logging.

MongoDB Atlas

Document model for CVs and profiles. Geospatial indexes for Canadian geography.

In-house matching engine

Deterministic 5-dimension scoring — documented, explainable, no dependency on an external AI API.

Generative AI (career tools)

CV builder, interview prep, salary intelligence, and follow-up — AI-generated on demand.

Stripe

Candidate and employer subscriptions, customer portal, and server-side webhooks.

Programmatic SEO

Dynamic sitemap, per-job JSON-LD, FR-CA/EN-CA hreflang.
